Adolescents play key roles in peace building: case studies from around the world
Produced by: United Nations (UN) Children's Fund (UNICEF) , 2004
Nine case studies are presented in this paper to demonstrate how participation in peace building enhances the protection of adolescents in conflict and post conflict situations. It also aims to illustrate how participation contributes to the success of UNICEF’s approach to human rights-based and results-based programming. The case studies show that when adolescents are involved in programme design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, they can play a key role in community development and peace building.
