Increasing the participation of women in decision-making and peace processes

This report examines the progress of the Security Council Resolution 1325 (SCR 1325) and it’s call on the United Nations and Member States to increase the participation of women in decision-making and peace processes, to ensure the protection of women and girls, and to institute gender perspectives and training in peacekeeping.

In their report the NGO Working Group of Women monitor the progress of implementation, and offers strategic recommendations. The report considers the role of various UN departments and the development of national action plans in four European countries and Fiji.
